Arrogantly Ignorant: 21 People Who Are Overconfident in Their Wrongness

Being wrong is okay, as long as you admit your mistake and learn from it. We are not perfect beings, and making mistakes is ok. What's not ok is being an absolute tool and thinking that your opinions are more factual than fact. That's what these people did, and it earned them a place on the infamous r/confidentlyincorrect subreddit. The only thing worse than being wrong is trying to convince everyone else you're right in the face of evidence proving otherwise.

For example, one person in this gallery was convinced that humans were not capable of crossing oceans until recently. I'm not sure where she got her history from, but it seems suspect. "These idiots didn't learn about Ocean Gyers in school," she wrote. "The rotation of these Gyers literally makes it impossible." Instead of looking up her assertion, she lambasted others trying to correct her. She went on to day that humans fixed it by bombing them. The moral of the story is, don't be like her. Learn your history, and if you don't, be humble enough to accept when you're wrong.
